Adam
Adam Lesser

Adam was born and raised in the DC area and has been a runner for more than 20 years, beginning in high school and then competing in endurance sports after college.  Adam is a Boston Qualifier, RRCA certified and Potomac River Running coach, and =PR= Race Team member.  Adam enjoys working with runners of all abilities to bring out the inner competitor inside us all. Check out Adam’s blog and follow him on Twitter and Instagram.

Heather

Heather Mundwiler

Heather grew up in Virginia and has recently relocated to Maryland, after a brief stint in Austin, Texas. At Heather’s first Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run, she manned the Memorial Bridge as a credit union volunteer. Watching all of the runners inspired her to work towards running it, which she did a few years later and considers it her best (and favorite) race ever still to this day. This will be her second time running the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run and she can’t wait! Heather blogs about her running and other adventures at 3 Black Cat Co. You can follow her on Twitter and Instagram.

Holly

Holly Sajna

Holly is a native Clevelander who relocated to Michigan where she works for a growing Senior Living company. She grew up loving singing, acting, and dancing, as well as cheerleading and show choir, and did not start to run until she tackled the Couch to 5K program in order to run with her dad. 5 years, 7 half’s, 2 Cherry Blossom’s, and countless 5K’s and 10K’s later…she finally admits she is a runner and loves it! Besides running, Holly still loves to sing, act, and dance, and also loves craft beer, good food, good coffee, traveling, and baseball (Go Indians!) with a goal of visiting all 30 MLB parks in her lifetime. She blogs at My Own Kind of Beautiful where her main goal is to encourage others in their own fitness journey while honestly sharing hers. Holly is overly optimistic and makes that known to everyone she comes in contact with. She will be turning 30 during Cherry Blossom weekend and plans to celebrate the whole year long by running her first full marathon later in 2017. Follow her own Twitter and Instagram.

Sara

Sara Brown

Sara started running after graduating from college in 2006, but didn’t start training for races until 2010. Her first half-marathon was in March 2011, and in October 2011 she crossed the finish line of her first marathon. Since then, Sara has trained completely on her own, having finished 9 marathons, including Chicago and New York City, and 21 half-marathons. Sara enjoys motivating others to achieve their goals as a half-marathon race pacer through Beast Pacing. Sara is an avid stand-up paddle-boarder who is working toward becoming a certified instructor, and she blogs at CapitalRunnerGirl.com. This will be Sara’s second time running the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Miler. A Nebraska native and full-time public policy advocacy professional, Sara has lived in Washington, DC since 2008 and still considers the National Mall to be her favorite place to run. Follow Sara on Twitter and Instgram.

Blog Editor

Courtenay (Coco)

Coco

Courtenay is an attorney and Virginia native who was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, and still lives there today with her husband Beau. She started running after she graduated from law school, and has been hooked on the endorhpins ever since. Her favorite race distance is 10 miles, so she feels lucky to live in the D.C. area where there are several fantastic 10 mile races throughout the year, including the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run of course. Courtenay blogs at Running With Perseverance. Follow her on Twitter and Instagram.

Fundraising Captain

Elizabeth

elizabeth

Elizabeth is a writing mom on the run and has been on the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile run social media team since 2012-2013, when she was a Social Runner. Originally from Maryland, Elizabeth now runs up and down the hills of Pittsburgh, PA, where things (like rivers) come in threes. She loves triathlons, has published three books and has three sons! She runs her own writing business and finds that a good long run is often the source of her creative ideas. Elizabeth loves being married to a great runner who was a finisher at the 2013 Boston Marathon. Follow her on Twitter and Instagram.

Social Media Coordinator

Kim

Kim has been running for more than 25 years and coaches with Potomac River Running (PRR) in Reston. She is actively engaged with the PRR Training program, Moms Run This Town, Reston Runners, and followers of her blog, Kim Runs Miles With Smiles. Her proudest running accomplishment was running the 2015 Marine Corps Marathon (with a negative split!). When she isn’t running, she is busy as a mom or tackling the nation’s health care issues in her job as a health care services researcher for a non-profit association. Follow Kim on Twitter.
